Reflx Lab 50D Color is Kodak Vision3 5203/7203 — a low-speed, daylight-balanced color negative motion picture film — respooled for still cameras in 120 from 65mm 5203 cinema stock. It keeps Kodak’s remjet backing and is processed in ECN-2, the motion-picture process, which gives a more true-to-cinema look. By contrast, CineStill 50D is the same Vision3 50D stock with the remjet removed, made for standard C-41 processing.
These eight frames were shot on a Zeiss Super Ikonta 531/2 (6x9). All of the photos are from the historic downtown of Hidalgo, Texas — including the 1886 Hidalgo County Courthouse, the Rodríguez Store, and the Odell-Rodríguez Store and Post Office in the Old Hidalgo Courthouse and Buildings historic district.
