St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Alamo, Texas

According to the Texas historic marker at the church, the site was deeded by the Alamo Land and Sugar Company. The Gothic Revival architectural style church was completed in 1924 which was also the year in which the city of Alamo was incorporated. Until 1927, the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen guided the Saint Joseph Parish at which time, it was designated as an independent parish.
